COVID-19 CLINIC UPDATE
Your health is my top priority. In light of the current situation, to be safe, KSK Integrative Medicine will remain closed until the week of April 6. You will be notified when I am able to re-open the clinic.
The good news is I am offering 1:1 tele-health appointments! This will help you keep your immune system strong, reduce stress, calm your nervous system, and support your body, mind and spirit. Sessions can be 30 or 60 minutes and may include:
Acupressure lesson & points unique for you
Custom herbal advice
Food recommendations for your pattern diagnosis
Qigong to expand breathing & movement
Reiki to balance energy & restore well being
Gua Sha lesson to relieve pain
Of course, longer sessions will include more modalities. These one-on-one, tele-health sessions may be conducted via phone or videoconferencing:
Herbal remedies additional (herbs can be drop-shipped directly to you)
Know that you are not alone. I am here for you. And, we can and WILL get through this together. At home, our exposure to potential virus risk is limited, so let's do our part to follow the directives of local/state government and health officials.
To book an appointment, simply call/text (949) 424-7883, or visit https://www.kskacupuncture.com/book-online.
Be safe and be well.
Nothing is more important than the health and wellbeing of my patients, and I have been closely monitoring the evolving Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 situation to make sure KSK Integrative Medicine -- as well as our collective clinic Laguna Niguel Wellness -- is doing everything within our control to ensure the clinic is safe for all patients and visitors.
CLINIC IS OPEN…FOR NOW
The situation is ever-evolving, and things are changing day-by-day; even hour-to-hour. As of now, for this week, I will keep my clinic open to support those who are seeking some immunity boosting, and perhaps wanting to relieve stress and anxiety of all that is going on currently. In this period of social distancing and our national state of emergency, I will defer to you whether you would like to keep your upcoming appointments.
For those who are at higher risk (immunocompromised, have existing serious chronic health conditions, and/or 60+ years of age), I would recommend you remain at home (see below regarding rescheduling).
In lieu of an in-person visit, I can do an online Zoom or Skype session to conduct an online Reiki session and/or walk through some acupressure points together with you. Please text me at (949) 424-7883, if you would like to set up this alternative session instead.
**I suspect that there may be a mandatory business shutdown that may occur very soon to help “flatten the curve” and help our communities and nation reduce the spread of COVID-19. I will keep you apprised if the clinic will be closed temporarily.**
PLEASE STAY HOME IF YOU’RE SICK
For everyone, I want to make sure that you are closely monitoring your own health. Please stay home if you are sick, and do not come to the clinic, particularly if you are exhibiting the following:
Fever (even a low-grade fever) or chills. You should be without fever for at least 24 hours (without fever-reducing medications) before coming to the clinic.*
Other symptoms such as uncontrollable cough, sneezing, gastrointestinal upset such as diarrhea or vomiting. (NOTE -- COVID-19 symptoms include: fever, dry cough, fatigue, shortness of breath.)
*The request to have you not come to the clinic also applies if you are caring for someone who has the above symptoms.
Staying at home and getting proper rest is not only for your own wellbeing, but also prevents the risk of infecting others in our clinic space. If you suspect that you are experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, including: fever, dry cough, fatigue and shortness of breath – DO NOT COME TO THE CLINIC. Please contact your primary care provider immediately.
CLEANING AND SANITIZING
Your safety is my top priority. Because of the nature of the medicine and close contact required to administer acupuncture needles, I want to assure you that I take every precaution to practice clean needle techniques and regularly wash and/or sanitize my hands. As you know, all needles are sterile, vacuum-sealed packaging and one-time use only. Fresh, clean sheets are used for each patient and all are washed at high-heat temperature daily. While I have already been practicing this, out of an abundance of caution, I have increased the frequency of using hospital-grade disinfecting products to frequently wipe down my workspace, before and after each patient. This includes all door knobs (interior and exterior), furniture, the keys to the restroom, my phone and laptop, and other potential areas or points of contact by patients, or myself.
I will be waiving the late cancellation policy, in the event you find you are not well the night before or day of your scheduled appointment this week. No fees will be incurred. I will be pushing all rescheduled appointments to the week of April 6th. If you already know you would like to cancel/postpone your appointment this week, please let me know at your earliest convenience, and we can get you in the books for the week of April 6th or later.
If you have any questions/comments, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. In the meantime, please take care, be safe, and yep – wash those hands frequently!
